Responsibilities & Qualifications

Reporting to the Strategy & Business Development Leader of Global ICT (Industrial & Commercial Transportation), you will take a leading role in the development and execution of various strategic initiatives within ICT, such as adjacent products, emerging markets and OEM/customer growth. You will be working closely with the ICT regional team and automotive/corporate team as well as have close engagement with external parties such as OEMs and research agents. The position is based in Winston Salem, NC.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify key growth products, segments and/or markets within ICT industries; initiate and develop projects under the guidance of Strategy Leader of ICT
  • Understand customer, regulatory, and market needs to meet future requirements and identify potential target growth areas (product/segment/market)
  • Perform analysis on target areas with insight on customer, technology, and value chain
  • Address key questions on where and how TE should participate in specific areas in order to become a top 3 player
  • Develop action plans with clear business targets and resource plans; take a leading role in the execution phase if needed
  • Participate in M&A projects to explore inorganic growth options
  • Coordinate global resources to lead and drive projects
  • Monitor competitor movement and generate action plans
  • Support ICT/Transportation Solutions team on business analysis and reporting

Requirements:

  • Currently enrolled in an MBA program or an equivalent Master’s program degree in business or a related field
  • Familiar with commercial vehicle and automotive industry; knowledge in electronics systems is a plus
  • Demonstrated project management skills with an emphasis on the ability to manage multiple projects
  • Excellent quantitative and analytical skills
  • Strong communication, presentation and coordination skills
  • Cross-cultural sensitivity
  • Drive for results and self-starting attitude
  • Some travel may be required
