Job Overview

The Site Controller (f/m) leads and reports about the budgetary and financial control activities of two plants: Wört and Dinkelsbuehl to meet the needs of the company.

In our plants in Woert and Dinkelsbuehl we develop and produce with our more than 1.800 employee’s connectors for the automotive industry. We’re working together with all renowned automobile manufacturers and automotive suppliers. Our products are installed in almost all automobiles in the world.

The position of Site Controller (f/m) reports directly to the EMEA Director Operations & Cost Controlling for the Automotive business unit and is closely partnered with the Site Manager and Leadership team.  The position must maintain collaborative relationships with all functions within the plant and with other Operations and Operations Finance Teams. 

His/her responsibilities will center on leading the plant controlling team (8 team members) in the area of financial analysis, developing business decision support, financial modeling, forecasting and reporting.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Tasks and responsibilities:

  • Key contact person for all financial matters related to the plant (internal parties (Site Manager, departments leaders) and non-plant related functions (EMEA Operations & Finance))  
  • Prepare and deliver all financial information related to plant performance, including standard costs and hourly rate, gain approval for future investments (CERs), cost improvements, in compliance with TE Financial policies and practices.
  • Coach the departments and the management team in terms of financial impact on decisions, improvement opportunities, the forecast process, and be first contact point for financial matters
  • Provide analysis and information to the local plant team to drive progress and improvements in all areas
  • Representative of the plant during customer and higher management visits
  • Active management support
  • Coordinate and lead the plant controlling department to fulfil the following requirements:
    • Fulfil special tasks, e.g. provide analysis of financial impact of decisions made in the plant, make or buy decision support, or post calculation
    • Forecasting, budget planning, and variance analysis for P&L and B/S accounts of the plant
    • Material cost analysis and tracking as well as asset management and asset transfer
    • Tool shop reporting and analysis, and capitalization of tooling projects
    • Performing cost center control, including cost center accounting, cost accounting, cost savings review and tracking
    • Tracking and reporting of KPI’s (balanced score card) and permanent financial analysis with corrective actions initiated and follow-up
    • Provide service and support in terms of analysis and numbers for all the departments and all reasonable needs, e.g. conversion cost, productivity, or TEOA (TE Lean Management system)
    • Track the action plans which are in place and initiate new ones if needed by triggering the Plant management and team with the appropriate analysis
    • Give heads-up to EMEA Management when needed
    • Ensure to deliver right data and closely cooperate with legal entity controller for statutory earnings statement
    • Ensure the SOX and Policy Standards and be first contact for the Audits (external and internal)




  • We are seeking a forward-thinking, energetic financial controller who demonstrates diversity in their experiences and is a business partner to the plant leadership team
  • University degree in economics or controlling preferred
  • International recognized accounting qualification like CPA, ACA, or ACMA will be a plus
  • At least 3 – 5 years prior experience in plant / operations financial management
  • Solid experience in manufacturing controlling is required
  • Strong leadership skills and demonstrated team lead experience will be necessary
  • Experience from a multinational matrix organization is a plus
  • Experience in statistical analysis and financial modelling
  • Fluent German and English is a must
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office Package, especially Excel
  • SAP R/3 knowledge is an advantage
