Job Overview

TE Connectivity’s internship program is designed to provide interns with real world experience to enhance classroom knowledge. Uniquely crafted assignments and meaningful projects provide interns with a challenging 10 – 12 week experience. Interns will gain exposure to senior leadership and be given professional development opportunities. At the end of the summer, interns will be provided the opportunity to pursue full-time placement within TE Connectivity.  

TE Connectivity has a Marketing summer internship available in either Troy, MI or Winston Salem, NC within the Automotive Business Unit.  This role will support the Global Automotive Marketing team with the planning and execution of all marketing activities across the region.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Creating and executing a comprehensive integrated marketing plan from concept to final execution to drive key initiatives such as product launches, demand generation and internal communications
  • Maximizing Automotive Americas reach and engagement by identifying opportunities to use all the tools of integrated marketing: PR, social, web, e-marketing, advertising, events, thought leadership and other approaches
  • Ensuring all market-facing communications deliver clear, compelling, differentiated messages that drive customer engagement and response
  • Working with internal and external creative resources to develop videos, print advertisement, presentations, brochures, demos, etc. that result in lead generation, employee engagement and product sales

Qualifications

 

The ideal candidate will be a detail-oriented sophomore or junior currently working toward a Bachelor's degree in Sales or Business Administration and who meet the following qualifications:

 

  • A minimum GPA of 3.0/4.0
  • Strong technical aptitude and ability to work in engineering / sales environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent computer skills with strong focus on spreadsheet development / manipulation, and detailed account strategy presentations using Microsoft Office products.
  • Demonstrated ability to interact and negotiate effectively with external or internal customers to accomplish identified goals
  • Results-orientated, critical thinker, with strong execution and follow-through characteristics
  • Ability to effectively organize, prioritize and accomplish multiple conflicting tasks
  • Ability to make intelligent, timely decisions, and solve problems independently
