Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Supply Chain Managers are responsible for the timely, cost-effective procurement, inventory control, planning and quality control of production materials. They ensure the availability of materials in the supply chain, as scheduled, and the maintenance of inventory at the established levels. They coordinate and integrate the flow of materials and information among suppliers, manufacturers, distributors and customers, identifying opportunities for improving efficiency, effectiveness and capabilities of the supply chain. Resources are focused on continuous improvement of the movement of materials through production processes, and the establishment of key performance metrics and benchmarks to monitor actual performance against goals.

 

Our facility based in Toulouse (ISO TS/16949, ISO 9001/2000 & ISO 14001 certified) designs and manufactures sensors in big series. TE Toulouse is experiencing a strong development of products and projects in the automotive sector.

We are currently looking for a Supply Chain Manager (m/f) to join our Operations team.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

In this position you will be leading a team of approx. 15 people and you will be responsible for:

  • Managing material planning, warehousing & shipping, production planning and you will act as SAP leader;
  • Obtaining materials, components, equipment and services;
  • Gathers quotations, examines bids, and makes awards for business already in production or new equipments, in coordination with TE segment buyers;
  • Evaluating vendor reliability, developing new supply sources where required;
  • Coordinating purchasing activities with manufacturing and engineering departments to maintain inventory at planned levels;
  • Monitoring of cost, schedule, and scope of assigned subcontracts to assure best quality at best value;
  • Recommending cost saving proposals including make vs. buy analysis, alternative sourcing, and vendor evaluation criteria;
  • Assuring transfer phase between NPI team and current production stage;

In addition, you may be developping specifications for new contract orders.

 

We are looking for the following comptencies and skills:

  • Master degree
  • At least 5 years of professional experience working in the supply chain environment in the automotive industry
  • Leadership experience
  • Excellent Supply Chain management skills
  • MRP knowledge (SAP preferred)
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work in a faced-paced and demanding environment
  • Fluency in French and English language
