Job Overview

The Key Account Manager is the outside senior sales person managing all aspects of the business with a strategic customer in a country or region. The Key Account Manager is responsible for developing and implementing a strategic account plan to drive maximum revenue, account penetration and customer satisfaction. To ensure complying services and project realization the position requires a close working relationship with multiple different functions within TE. It’s crucial to drive cross functional collaboration between Pricing, Quality, Customer Care, Engineering and the sales field resources to exceed customers service and support expectations.

Business leadership, strategic key account planning and high-level relationship management are some of the major tasks.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Increase executive relationships and largescale opportunities to partner with TE
  • Sell the value propositions of TE Connectivity’s products and services
  • Understand the customer and the customer expectations/requirements
  • High level decision making and influencing
  • Negotiate and implement (global) large contractual agreements 
  • Own yearly global negotiation process and process improvements
  • Develop and execute business plan and account strategy at a global level
  • Drive completion of running opportunities/projects
  • Review and coordinate project activities and account receivables 
  • Decision making with regard to strategic positioning, product selection and promotion within customer responsibility
  • Research and evaluation of customer market activities, internal and external data 
  • Create a solid project pipeline to ensure long term growth.

 

KEY EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:

  • Must have minimum a bachelor’s degree in business administration or engineering degree or equivalent level of practical experience
  • Minimum five years professional Sales experience, global experience is a plus
  • Needs a professional level of business acumen and good commercial understanding
  • Needs a good understanding of technical complexes
  • Should have had previous experience in account planning and relationship management
  • Optimally have a deep and broad knowledge of the TE Connectivity’s technology and product portfolio 
  • High level of written and verbal communication
  • Flexibility in working days and travelling
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Fluent in English (written & verbal)
