The Aerospace, Defense and Marine (AD&M) business unit of TE is part of the Industrial Solutions segment -- a world leader in the design of components and electrical interconnection solutions that are used for applications in extreme and harsh environments. Job Overview

This role will provide chemical and materials support within ISG, Product Engineering.  The successful applicant will have excellent team working skills and be a hardworking, enthusiastic self-starter. This role will have potential to grow and expand – we are ideally looking for an individual that has potential to progress to a senior engineering level.

Responsibilities & tasks

  • Maintenance of raw materials and compound MSDS, ensuring compliance with CLP regulations (EU / US support)
  • RDO responsibility for Reach / RoHS compliance of compounds and ISG products (EU / US support)
  • Responsibility for customer requests for product material declarations according to latest legislation (EU / US support)
  • Compounding and materials support including materials cost reduction, obsolescence, supply issues – the first point of contact for Materials Division and Procurement
  • Create and raise compound formulations to support the ISG business
  • Compounding and materials support to NPD opportunities
  • Analytical test support and interpretation of results from techniques such as microscopy, DSC, TMA, TGA, DMA, GPC, FTIR, 3D prototyping and rheological data
  • Analytical testing cover as required
  • Compounding process expertise to sustaining and NPD projects
  • Technical materials support for customers and business both in-house and external
