Job Overview

TE Connectivity’s Engineering Managers provide leadership for cross functional engineering teams. They work with senior management to define technical road maps aligned with market directions and communicate across other Business Units to share applicable technology. Our Engineering Managers leverage TE global technology to increase competitive position and increased value to our customers. They identify relevant technology trends and opportunities, develop relationships and partnerships with key customers, industry leaders and core suppliers, define and manage IP strategy, assess talent and implement development plans to assure succession planning and organization capability.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Managing and directing Engineering/technical groups at plant level, include Process Engineering, Automation, Maintenance, Testing, CIM etc

Lead team on molding, stamping, assembly process capability study, ensure process capacbility meet the product quality and reliability requirement  
• Lead teams on test cost, repeatbility, coverage, throughput improvement activities, align test methodology with customer 
• Lead automation line architecture design, define buyoff spec, drive suppliers on automation line quality control improvement
• Drive process enhancement and optimization, strenghten process control by implementing Auto Visual Inspection, CIM,and tracibility improvement
• Lead and work with R&D on DFM and product reliability improvement, conduct product spec validation, define gate study for VAVE project 
• Lead OEE improvement project at factory level
• Support the manufacturing and QA teams in the activities of  
     o Design of Experiments (DOE)
     o Statistical Process Control (SPC)
     o Process and Design Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA)
     o Process and Product Monitoring and Control Plans
     o Problem Solving (8D)
     o Statistical Engineering Methods
     o Measurement System Analysis (MSA)
     o Process optimization (LEAN)
     o Six Sigma Process (DMAIC)
