CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT TECHNICIAN

Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Continuous Improvement Teams design and implement programs and projects to improve products, services, or processes aligned with business strategies. They coach teams; establish program performance metrics; and establish process excellence supports.

What your background should look like:

 General Purpose

Responsible for contributing to cost savings and improvement opportunities kaizens as well as supporting the implementation of the TEOA tools across the site. Also, is responsible for supporting the TEOA Practitioners on their activities.

Continuous Improvement Technician also support training to leaders and operators on TEOA basic tools.

Continuous Improvement Technician support on time studies, line balance and other productivity analysis.

Responsibilities:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES: (Including but not limited to the following):

1.    Support cost saving projects across the company.
2.    Work together with the TEOA practitioners, line leaders and other technicians on TEOA Kaizens and trainings
3.    Detect and lead improvement and cost saving opportunities.

 

Education and Experience

Industrial Engineer Degree in progress (desirable)
Other lean or six sigma courses. (Certifications desirable)

Experience: 3-5 years of experience in operations roles (line leader, quality inspector, other technician roles) or continuous improvement roles.
Language: Spanish. (Basic/Intermediate English is desirable)
 
Skills (Desirable)


Knowledge of Microsoft Office
Knowledge in problem-solving basic techniques
Particiapted in Kaizens or other process improvement events
Participated in product and process qualification and validation (or other medical mfg background is desirable)
Ability to work under pressure

Working environment and physical requirements:
Office and Manufacturing areas

COMPENSATION
•    Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $xxx – xxx (subject to change dependent on physical location)
•    Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
