Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Accounting Teams develop, implement and/or maintain one or more accounting systems: Journal entries, General Ledger, Accounts Receivables, Accounts Payable, Revenue Reconciliation, Cash Flows, etc. in accordance with GAAP policies and procedures. They also design operational procedures and processes that meet audit standards and improve efficiency. We have an opening starting ASAP in a busy manufacturing plant that builds wire and cable products. The office is located at 501 Oakside Drive, Redwood City, CA 94063. We're looking for a bright, articulate and self-directed individual  for a temporary position (32-40 hours per week.) 


Responsibilities & Qualifications

This is a temporary position that will be responsible for special projects as assigned by the Plant Controller. 


Project Examples:  

  • Reconcile two different reports and eliminate one of the reports.
  • Prepare a table that allows for a simple pareto graph of the report.
  • Prepare a dashboard that reports weekly and monthly trend analysis for several reports.
  • Assist with cost verification of purchased parts.
  • Prepare a standard form for reporting plant productivity savings from a project.
  • Prepare a reconciliation between productivity project savings and total plant productivity.
  • Assist with reporting productivity savings for several projects.
  • Update a weekly tracker spreadsheet format.
  • Improve scrap tracking worksheet and prepare dashboard
  • Improve monthly download and reconciliation of pcard transactions.
  • Assist with audit of Storeroom assets.
  • Assist with physical inventory audit if able (occurs on a Saturday)



  • Working towards a Bachelor’s Degree in business, finance, accounting, math, statistics or other related disciplines.
  • Excellent math skills, the ability to analyze problems
  • Close attention to detail, and the ability to communicate well with people.
  • Comfortable asking questions.
  • Analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work independently to solve practical problems, and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations to achieve workable solutions.
  • The ability to learn and embrace new technology.
  • High degree of discretion dealing with confidential information.
  • Microsoft Office products proficiency desired, especially Excel
  • Minimum GPA in major of 3.0
  • Experience with queries, report writing and presenting findings
  • Analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
  • This position requires access to information which is subject to stringent controls under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or Export Administration Regulations (EAR).   Applicants must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. lawful permanent resident, person granted asylee status in the U.S., or person admitted into the U.S. as a refugee.
