Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Operations Managers are responsible for the day-to-day operations and short/long-term planning for the groups they manage. They manage manufacturing, production control, engineering, inventory control, EH&S, shipping/receiving, etc. focusing on the development of technologies and continuous improvement and translating customer requirements into state-of-the-art manufacturing strategies and processes.

 

Responsibilities
1.Planning and Budgeting
Develop and implement Assembly department budget and plan, and monitor the achievement of the budget;allocate departmental target to their performance; develop sectional headcount subordinates & monitor planning & budgeting in order to achieve targeted section performance.

2.Policies and Procedures
Monitor the implementation of TE global and Qing Dao-released policies, procedures and systems and review and approve the Assembly-related Work Instructions. in order to provide working guidelines and direction for the Assembly team members.

3.People Management
(i) Allocate and balance the allocation of work across direct reports; 
(ii) Review and provide timely performance feedback to direct reports;
(iii) Mentor, develop and motivate them 
(iv) Help resolve people/functional issues in the team in order to achieve targeted sectional performance and retain key talent.

4.In-process Improvement and Process Management
(i) Lead and approve the projects to optimize the production process; 
(ii) Provide technical suggestions and coordinate resources for the improvement projects  in order to increase production efficiency and make process improvements.

5.Production Management
(i) Lead the production planning and review the production report;
(ii) Monitor the production process in order to meet production targets.

6.Equipment Maintenance & Management
Approve the equipment qualification and installation, and review the equipment-checking report  in order to improve the equipment efficiency and safety.

What your background should look like:

1. Bachelor, major in Engineering

2. At least 8 years experience in operations management from connector industry with assembling experience. Quality and manufacturing process knowhow is mandatory. 
3. The ability to drive continuous improvement with LEAN mindset.
4. at least 5 management experience at total team size no less than 200.
5. Strong communication skill.
6. Able to work and preform under pressure.
7. Business level English.
