Job Overview

We are looking for a Controlling Manager (f/m/d) for our Energy Business Unit based in Ottobrunn. 
The role reports directly to the EMEA Controlling Manager and is closely partnered with the Site Manager and Leadership team.  The position must maintain collaborative relationships with all functions within the plant and with other Operations and Operations Finance Teams.  

His/her responsibilities will be on the manufacturing side for sites in: Ottobrunn and Falkenberg, leading a small plant controlling team (1 team member) in the area of financial analysis, developing business decision support, financial modeling, forecasting and reporting.


Your responsibilities include:

•    Ownership of Weekly/Monthly costing process, including annual cost roll
•    Drive improvements in savings, productivity and working capital control
•    Work closely with EMEA team on Regional consolidations and Freight spend control
•    Support in the preparation of Monthly Operations reviews
•    Prepare and deliver all financial information related with plant performance, including standard costs and hourly rate, CERs, cost improvements, in compliance with TE Financial manual policies and practices.
•    Material cost analysis and tracking as well as asset management and asset transfer
•    Forecasting, budget planning, and variance analysis for P&L and B/S accounts of the plant 
•    Ensure to deliver right data and closely cooperate with legal entity controller for statutory earnings statement
•    Performing cost center control, including cost center accounting, cost accounting, cost savings review and tracking 
•    Tracking and reporting of KPI’s (balanced score card) and permanent financial analysis with corrective actions initiated and follow-up
•    Provide service and support in terms of analysis and numbers for all the departments and all reasonable needs, e.g. conversion cost, productivity, or TEOA (TE Operative Advantage)
•    Ensure the SOX and Policy Standards and be first contact for the Audits (external and internal)
•    Track the action plans which are in place and initiate new ones if needed by triggering the Plant management and team with the appropriate analysis
•    Give heads-up to EMEA Management when needed
•    Fulfil special tasks, e.g. provide analysis of financial impact of decisions made in the plant, make or buy decision support, or post calculation 
•    Coach the departments and the management team in terms of financial issues, the FCST process, and be first contact point for financial issues 
•    Provide analysis and information to the local plant team to drive progress and improvements in all areas
•    Active management support

What your background should look like:

•    University degree in Finance/Business. Degree in Business Administration (BWL)
•    At least 3 – 5 years prior experience in plant / operations financial management
•    Proficiency in Microsoft Office required, experience with SAP CO is a plus 
•    Demonstrates problem solving abilities with an emphasis on strategic thinking, teamwork, and results-driven implementation 
•    We are seeking a forward-thinking, energetic financial controller who demonstrates diversity in their experiences and is a business partner to the plant leadership team
•    Solid experience in manufacturing controlling is required
•    Leadership skills and demonstrated team lead experience will be highly appreciated 
•    Very good quantitative, analytical, communication and presentation skills 
•    Ability to communicate with all levels in the organization, including Business Unit Management, Operations, Sales, and Business Development; to identify and solve problems, as well as improve and carry-out processes in support of the team’s responsibility
•    Fluent in German and English
•    Excellent interpersonal and communication skills 
•    Comfortable to work in a fast-paced, international matrix organization
