Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Administrative Support Teams are responsible for office administration and daily clerical duties including basic schedule planning, travel arrangements, documentation, and file maintenance. Other responsibilities include scheduling conferences/meeting rooms and responding to general inquiries. They create and maintain office documentation and files and review drafts and finished internal/external communication documents.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

TE-SubCom OTS is seeking a summer intern who has completed his or her junior year of an Electrical Engineering bachelor’s degree program; or, Opto-Electrical Engineering degree program focusing on electrical/electronic/optical design. The summer job will involve working under the guidance of an experienced electro-optical engineering component manufacturing team. The intern will be involved in developing, designing, and prototyping optical shape correction filter (SCF) components which support TE-SubCom undersea fiber optic cable data transmission products.


•Coordinate and consult with engineers to layout, design, and detail electro-optical instruments, controls, and circuits to meet SCF design objectives.
•Work closely with other engineering disciplines and related functions.
•Perform calculations required for electro-optical filter designs.
•Design and develop test software using Labwindows/CVI to write, test, and validate the operation and performance of SCF designs.
•Design and develop test fixtures to write, test, and validate the operation and performance of SCF designs.
•Participate in project team meetings to support project management activities.


•Candidates for consideration should be pursuing a BS in Electrical Engineering and be in good standing with the University. Preference will be given to engineering students between the junior and senior year.
•Coursework in electronic circuits, analog and digital circuit analysis, control theory, power systems, and C/C++/C# programming.
•Have an interest in the design of electronic, electrical, and computer controls as they relate to machines and equipment.     
•Good application skills of Microsoft Office tools, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook etc.
•Strong communications, interpersonal, and analytical skills are essential.
•Internship location is Newington, New Hampshire. 
•Minor travel may be required.
