Job Overview

TE Connectivity’s Product Engineering Teams optimize existing products from information or input provided by marketing, customers, Operation Teams, Development Engineers or other employees. They maintain existing products, processes, and specifications including modifications for new applications consistent with manufacturing techniques and economies. They also initiate and implement programs to continuously improve quality, and cost, while meeting customer requirements and may support and implement product extensions to existing platform products to meet specific customer requirements. They are the key experts in the products they are responsible for at TE.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Responsibilities:

  • Design and detail new tools and equipment related to wire crimping equipment and terminating machines.
  • Support the engineering team with design, drafting, and documentation of new products as well as processing Engineering Change Orders (ECO’s) for existing products.
  • Create user instruction sheets and other documentation needed to support the product lines.
  • Interface with Internal and external customers to provide technical support (including suppliers, quality, manufacturing, and assembly)

Qualifications:

  • Associate or Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Engineering CAD Technology, or equivalent. 
  • Experience using 3D Modeling software – Creo preferred
  • Ability to use and Interpret GD&T
  • Detail oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite
  • Hands on with strong Mechanical Aptitude
