IT Strategic Sourcing Analyst

What you will be doing...

an IT Strategic Sourcing Analyst is part of the America’s Center Led Procurement Team in Corporate Purchasing.  You will lead a team to achieve cost savings and meet stakeholder’s requirements.  Individual will develop and implement regional strategic plans which support global strategic plans.  The Strategic Sourcing Analyst will lead and participate in cross-functional teams to find, assess and select appropriate suppliers to meet defined requirements.  This person will provide oversight and evaluate ethical procurement practices to assure compliance to TE Connectivity sourcing policies and procedures.   


 

As an IT Strategic Sourcing Analyst, a typical day may include:

 

  • Interface with internal customers to understand their needs and provide support.
  • Work with Procurement team members including BPO to manage projects. 
  • Manage respective supplier relationships
  • Develop long term agreements
  • Ensure contract compliance
  • Implement cost savings projects
  • Drive continuous improvement
  • IT procurement is the series of activities and procedures necessary to acquire information technology (IT) products and services.
  • IT procurement involves both strategic and administrative responsibilities. It includes the creation and management of request for quotations (RFQ), requests for proposals (RFP), requests for information (RFI) and managing supplier relationships.
  • Day-to-day tasks may include conducting market research, negotiating pricing, establishing terms and conditions for services, resolving invoice discrepancies and communicating the status of purchases and projects with key internal customers

What your background should look like...

  • BS Materials, Supply Chain, Engineering or related business degree
  • 5+ years of experience strategic sourcing or equivalent work experience
  • Demonstrated strong leadership skills
  • Experience in establishing team goal’s and managing the team to meet these goals.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office tools
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated record of delivering cost reduction

 

Nice to have:

  • IT related knowledge or experience
  • Good communication skills
  • General understanding of SAP
  • Manage multiple projects, coordinate and track activities of the team
