What you will be doing...

As a part of the high speed signal integrity team the candidate will focus on the electrical design, modeling, and testing of high speed TE Connectivity products. The candidate is expected to independently work on projects in the areas of signal integrity for product and system design including modeling, simulation, testing and circuit board layout.  The candidate will be responsible for the signal integrity performance of a program from the initial analysis through prototype fabrication and testing.  The position requires that the candidate regularly interface with engineering, manufacturing, and marketing teams to guide and assist with the design.

What your background should look like...

  • Candidate must have a BSEE or preferably an MSEE, with a minimum of 5 years of industry experience.
  • Candidate must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.  Individual must be highly motivated, a quick learner, and able to work independently.
  • A solid understanding of electrical circuit behavior and electromagnetic theory is required.  Experience with signal integrity analysis and/or interconnect design required.    
  • Familiarity with printed circuit board design, fabrication and assembly is required.
  • Experience in project leadership, especially as it applies across design, development & manufacturing teams is required.

 

Nice to have...

  • Printed circuit board design, fabrication and assembly (Altium, AutoCAD)
  • Signal integrity analysis tools (Agilent ADS, Ansys HFSS)
  • Test equipment (oscilloscope, vector network analyzer)
  • Test parameters (insertion loss, return loss, noise, jitter, eye patterns, skew, impedance)
  • Communication systems (high-speed servers, switches, routers, storage)
  • Signal conditioning techniques (equalization, amplification)
  • Connector and cable assembly design
  • Direct customer design and support experience
  • Application and test knowledge of high-speed devices and equalization techniques is a plus
  • Design experience with high-speed servers, switches, routers, storage, or similar systems is a plus
