Job Overview

TE Connectivity’s internship program is designed to provide interns with real world experience to enhance classroom knowledge. Uniquely crafted assignments and meaningful projects provide interns with a challenging 10 – 12 week experience. Interns will gain exposure to senior leadership and be given professional development opportunities. At the end of the summer, interns will be provided the opportunity to pursue full-time placement within TE Connectivity.  

TE Connectivity has an Import Buyer Planning summer internship available in Middletown, PA.  This position will support the Automotive NA efforts to achieve goals and objectives for delivery, associated cost, quality, value, and service and reports to the Materials Manager within the Automotive Import Group. 

Responsibilities & Qualifications


  • Establish manufacturing plans and maintain inventory levels for assigned products in support of customer requirements and forecast.
  • Develop and implement planning parameters and forecast in conjunction with the Business office.
  • Review forecast to determine if there is a need to contact supply location to determine possible capacity constraints.
  • Respond to calls from TE Customer Care involving delivery, quotes, expedites, cancellations, and reschedules.
  • Initiate purchase order requisitions and or expedites.
  • Review mismatch and reconciliation report.
  • Interface with engineers, customer care, business office, sales, TE management or outside 3rd party facilities.



The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented sophomore or junior currently working towards a Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Materials Management, or Business Administration and meet the following qualifications:

  • Minimum GPA in major of 3.0.
  • Motivated individual able to learn quickly and work in a self-directed work environment with minimal supervision.
  • A clear communicator who is able to speak and present confidently to a diverse audience, including senior management.
  • Ability to work well in a cross-functional environment and with global team members.
  • Fluent in English, reading, writing, and speaking English language.
  • Proficient with MS-Office products – SAP background is a plus.
