Job Overview

This position will serve as the HR Business Partner (HRBP) to several Corporate functions, primarily corporate operations groups including global logistics, procurement, TEOA, EHS, facilities, manufacturing engineering, and potentially other corporate groups.  The incumbent will be responsible for a broad range of human resources activities in the areas of leadership coaching, organization development, change leadership, talent management, employee relations, compensation planning, and talent acquisition.

  • The incumbent must be able to translate business needs into effective strategies, design implantation plans to support those strategies, and drive the execution of those plans into tangible results to drive business performance.
  • The incumbent should think and work globally within a complex, dynamic environment that requires the balance of timely resolution to critical issues as well as the ability to focus on key strategic initiatives.
  • This position reports to the VP of HR who covers the Operations function of TE.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Responsibilities

Leadership Partnership:

  • Serve as a strategic advisor to senior leaders on issues related to leadership effectiveness, change leadership, organization design, employee engagement, leadership development, talent acquisition, and compensation.
  • Provide advice and counsel to senior leaders on the talent and organization implications of strategies designed to drive business performance.

Talent Management:

  • Advise managers on all aspects of talent management including selection of top talent, performance management, succession planning, and development of high potential employees. 
  • Assist leadership team members in determining the needs of the organization and develop workforce plans along with learning and development plans to grow and develop the team. 
  • Improve talent pipeline through continuous assessment of critical roles, as well as developing clear role descriptions, competencies models and training to support development of key employees.
  • Acquire top talent by working with recruitment partners (both internal and external) in developing search strategies, candidate identification & selection and successful on-boarding activities. 

HR Process Management and Execution

  • Manage HR related annual key processes like OLR (talent and organization review), compensation planning, goal setting, for supported leaders and teams.
  • Establish meaningful HR metrics and reporting to assist the corporate functions in making data based decisions
  • Support project based work on business-critical strategic imperatives

Employee Engagement:

  • Proactively monitor the work environment to identify and address trends and areas of improvement to increase employee engagement.  Lead employee engagement pulse surveys and address critical action items. 
  • Ensures effective internal communication to employees of Company and function related information.

Experience required:

  • A minimum of 5 years of progressive Human Resources experience, preferably in large global matrixed environment. 
  • Prior HR specialist experience in one or more functional areas of Human Resources (HRBP, Talent Management, Compensation, Staffing, HR Operations, etc.). 
  • Demonstrated managerial courage; self-confident and able to act as role model of company values. Comfortable in pushing back to leaders on decisions and having the ability to advise and guide leaders.
  • Experience with project management, continuous improvement, and must be comfortable in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Strong written, oral communication and presentation skills with the ability to present confidently across the organization.
  • Exceptional analytical skills
  • High personal credibility, confidentiality, relationship building and influencing skills are all essential
  • Working knowledge of state/federal laws related to human resources (FMLA, STD, LTD, etc)
  • Proficiency in Excel and Power Point

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Business or Human Resources discipline; MBA or Masters in Human Resources/Organizational Psychology/Industrial & Labor relations desired
