Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Financial Planning & Analysis Teams develop, interpret and implement financial concepts for financial planning and control. They perform technical analysis to determine present and future financial performance. They gather, analyze, prepare and summarize recommendations for financial plans, acquisition activity, trended future requirements and operating forecasts. The Financial Planning & Analysis Teams also perform economic research and studies in the areas of rates of return, depreciations, working capital requirements, investment opportunities, investment performance and impact of governmental requirements.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

The Aerospace Defense and Marine (AD&M) business of TE Connectivity is a $1.1 billion business and are leaders in the development and engineering of a comprehensive portfolio of connectors, fiber optics, wires, cables, antennas, circuit protectors and moldings for harsh environments. We have over 6,000 employees to deliver a broad range of solutions into the defense, oils and gas, commercial aerospace, space and marine industries with a global customer base.

As part of the AD&M Finance team, the FP&A Analyst will be joining a group of over 60 professionals across the globe that are passionate about driving processes that enable future growth of the business while maintaining financial integrity.  These professionals, in conjunction with a strong leadership TEam, embody TE Connectivity’s Core Values of Integrity, Accountability, Teamwork and Innovation

Roles and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
•Ensure data integrity for financial files and models used in decision making by financial and non-financial decision makers, particularly around financial planning, operational productivity, and financial reporting
•Key financial reporting areas include preparing monthly operating review meetings, preparing consolidating files for sub-business unit and preparing weekly cost tracker.
•Key financial planning areas include maintaining budget files at plant and consolidating levels, maintain forecasting files and the Hyperion upload template.
•Publish and maintain conversion and material productivity program pipelines for plant and sub-business units within the division
•Other activities include monthly capital expenditures tracking and maintenance, account reconciliations, monthly inventory reporting and analysis, and assisting plant controllers in maintaining plant level reporting files
•Liaison between plant controllers and central finance management
•Ad hoc analysis and reporting as required

Qualifications
•Due to ITAR regulations, US citizenship or US lawful permanent residency (green card) is required to apply for this position.
•Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting required, CPA or MBA preferred
•3 - 5 years of relevant experience in operations and/or corporate finance and accounting roles required
•Strong verbal and written communication skills required, including the ability to effectively communicate with individuals whose native language is not English and with all levels of management within ADM and TE Connectivity
•Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
•Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint as well as Hyperion, Cognos and SAP a plus
•Analytical thinking and creative problem solving skill set with an acute attention to detail
•Firm understanding of variance analysis and financial modeling
•Ability to work across business units and functions
•Continuous improvement mindset
•Ability to assume increasing responsibilities in a changing environment
