Job Overview

The Executive Assistant (EA) will provide high-level direct administrative support to the CTO and VP of Engineering within the Appliances business unit.  This individual plays a central role in supporting the business unit.  Success in this position requires a proactive approach to anticipating and meeting the needs of the Executive Team and, equally, becoming a critical “go-to” person for the broader organization to liaise with the senior team.  We’re looking for an EA who is a self-starter, focused on results and committed to making a difference. 

Responsibilities & Qualifications


  • Manage complex calendar for several executives
  • Continuous review and prioritization of executives email and other correspondence
  • Maintain presence and connection with executives direct reports and respective team
  • Arrange and coordinate complex international and domestic travel arrangements including visa applications
  • Coordinate and arrange meetings and schedules
  • Schedule conference calls, Telepresence meetings, on-site and off-site meetings, and webcasts
  • Answer and screen telephone calls
  • Maintain electronic records and SharePoint sites
  • Manage sensitive and proprietary information with discretion and confidentiality
  • Team player - assist and provide coverage for other administrative assistants as needed
  • Expense submission
  • Review expense reports before approval
  • Support and track approvals for travel requests, purchase requisitions, CERs
  • Create PowerPoint presentations.
  • Maintain organizational charts for the global teams
  • Type, edit and proofread documents and correspondence.
  • Organize office and files.

  • Strong Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Tech savvy with ability to research topics via the internet

Minimum Requirements

  • 7+ years in an administrative capacity; large corporation executive assistant experience desired and preferred.
  • Above average written and verbal communication skills required.
  • Above average skills in Microsoft Office suite -- Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while adapting to changing deadlines and priorities.
  • Demonstrated experience working independently, prioritizing work and handling simultaneous assignments with success and accuracy.
  • Detail oriented with exemplary organization skills.
  • Ability to deal with complexity and ambiguity of TE Connectivity.
