Job Overview

TE Connectivity’s internship program is designed to provide interns with real world experience to enhance classroom knowledge. Uniquely crafted assignments and meaningful projects provide interns with a challenging 10 – 12 week experience. Interns will gain exposure to senior leadership and be given professional development opportunities. At the end of the summer, interns will be provided the opportunity to pursue full-time placement within TE Connectivity.  

 

TE Connectivity (TE) Corporate Technology Digital Engineering/Manufacturing/Operation (DEMO) Group has an opportunity for an Intern in Electrical Control Systems Engineering. The successful candidate will have a strong technical background in commercial controls systems software development and electrical control system hardware. The Electrical Control Systems Engineer will report to the Digital Engineering Manager and interface directly with the Digital Factory team to gain hands-on experience while interacting with various areas of the company.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with implementation and deployment of embedded devices in manufacturing based environment interfacing to commercial control systems.
  • Develop data mapping schemes and perform validation of control/sensor information for presentation and consumption in various IT environments.
  • Provide end-user support and knowledge-base access to custom embedded device details.

 

Qualifications:

  • Working towards Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (CE/EE)
  • Experience with various software languages as well as commercial control system development environments and hardware: IEC61131-3 (LD, FBD, ST, IL,SFC), c/c+
  • Prior experience with commercial controls systems hardware (Allen Bradley, Siemens, Omron, Beckhoff, B&R) a plus.
  • Basic networking troubleshooting and topology comprehension.
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving and computer skills
