The Aerospace, Defense and Marine (Aerospace, Defense and Marine or AD&M) business unit of TE is part of the Industrial Solutions segment (Industrial Solutions) and is a world leader in the design of components and electrical interconnection solutions that are used for applications in extreme and rigorous environments. Job Overview

The Aerospace Defense and Marine (AD&M) business of TE Connectivity are leaders in the development and engineering of a comprehensive portfolio of contactors, relays, sensors, fiber optics, wires, cables, antennas, circuit protectors and moldings for harsh environments. We have a global customer base with over 7000 employees to deliver a broad range of solutions.

We are currently seeking a Human Resource Business Partner for our global subvertical Business Units (SBU) HPG & ISG (High Performance Group & Integrated Solutions Group). The HR Business Partner is to be part of the business and contribute to the business and to business leaders by addressing People, Culture, Performance and Organizational needs.

Reporting to the VP of Human Resource, the HR Business Partner sets the HR strategy in line with business priorities and drives the people operating plan. (S)He implements policies at the business level partnering with leaders and employees to drive companywide programs and initiatives (i.e. culture & leadership development, succession planning, talent acquisition, total rewards and change management).

This position will act as a true business partner and is a key player of the global organization. This role will support the GM’s for the SBU’s as a strategic partner and will closely collaborate with other pillars of the TE HR operating model, being HR Solutions and HR Innovation Centers. This position has also a functional HR leadership role for Engineering, Sales and Finance.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

Strategy

  • Develops and executes the SBU strategy aligned with business strategy, priorities and needs; Owns the People Operating Plan (People, Culture & Organization) for the SBU.
  • Provide HR leadership to meet business goals and objectives, in partnership with the SBU leadership team, HR Solutions and HR Innovation Centers.
  • Analyze trends and metrics as they apply to client groups, develop proactive actions to further support business objectives and people strategy, think systemically, holistically and anticipate.
  • Lead organization design, workforce planning, organization development and organizational effectiveness within the business, including Mergers & Acquisition and divestures.
  • Drive organizational culture to support long term strategy and towards TE value and CEO vision, unleash people’s potential through development & inclusion. Foster a result oriented and learning organization
  • Support HR due diligence during M&A activities to ensure proper target evaluation and develop a consistent integration roadmap.
  • Take on strong influencing role balanced with needs for Business Strategy and TE Strategy, convey information to different audiences, able to deal with complex inter-relationship.

 Execution

  • Execute People Operating Plan; Partner with the SBU Leadership Team to provide advice, creative problem solving and counsel on HR related business matters.
  • Manage and insure the cadence for HR life cycle and talent management programs for the SBU.
  • Participate in due diligence during the pre-acquisition phase and develop and execute integration plan.
  • Lead change management for the SBU and facilitate organizational change by supporting managers to develop plans to drive organizational efficiency in line with business strategy.
  • Collaborate on projects at an ad-hoc basis with Corporate HR functions and provide business input on policies/tools as required.
  • Drive and advocate for a “One-HR Operating Model” and ensure seamless execution and delivery to the business.
  • Drive HR operational excellence through TEOA.

Talent

  • Own Organizational Leadership Reviews (OLR) and strategic succession planning outcomes/requirements to support the business.
  • Drive key talent development plans to strengthen the talent pipeline for all critical positions including stretched assignments, coaching or mentoring programs, professional & leadership training to retain and develop talent.
  • Drive employee engagement through effective communication, programs, and alignment to development and growth opportunities.
  • Be the voice of employee in balancing the business needs with needs of employees so the business runs as effectively as possible.
  • Act as a coach, make critical conversations happen and be a facilitator when needed.

Experience and Skills:

  • Bachelor's Degree and/or above.
  • Minimum of 10 years professional working experience in matrix environment required; Experience in global organization preferred.
  • Minimum of 8 years HR Generalist/HR Business Partner related experience required; HR knowledge and skills in variety of fields in international context.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading transformational change in a global environment.
  • Prior experience as a site/plant HR BP is preferred.
  • Experience partnering with business leaders in a matrixed environment requiring influencing skills.
  • Minimum of 5 years leadership experience required.
  • Demonstrated experience with Organization Design, Change Leadership, Talent Management and Organizational Development; Outcome focus is absolutely required
  • Ability to act as a credible coach and facilitator and a credible role model for effective leadership and performance.
  • Ability to travel both Domestic and International
