Job Overview

The Aerospace Defense and Marine (AD&M) business of TE Connectivity is a leader in the development and engineering of a comprehensive portfolio of connectors, fiber optics, wires, cables, antennas, circuit protectors and moldings for harsh environments. We have a global customer base with over 7,000 employees to deliver a broad range of solutions.
Our Contract Analyst serves as the liaison between internal and external contacts to coordinate and expedite our contracting process. The Analyst serves as the primary liaison between various business unit functions including the Law department and the Customer or Vendor representatives to coordinate activities related to completion of the contracts.  The position reports directly to the AD&M Contracts Manager.  

Responsibilities & Qualifications

  • Review, draft, edit, and negotiate contracts with Customer or Vendor assuring that the terms align with key business points achieving the best possible outcome for TE
  • Create letters or other documents as they relate to contracts
  • Work with Pricing, Procurement, Finance, and Product Management to compile exhibits for Customer and Vendor contracts
  • Attend meetings/calls with Product Management, Sales or Procurement teams to identify and address material issues related to proposed agreements and amendments
  • Review contracts to identify any needed changes or trends and escalate findings to management
  • Partner with Sales, Procurement, and Product Management teams to develop and coordinate strategies for individual customers or vendors during the contracting process to ensure successful implementation of contracts, amendments and/or pricing updates
  • Demonstrate effective and regular communication on Customer and Vendor related issues and contract concerns
  • Review executed contracts to validate and verify contractual information to enter into the contract database system
  • Ensure that all contracts align with internal audit and other compliance requirements
  • Ensure that all contract files are current, accurate, and up to date
  • Educate Sales and other internal customers on key business points, the contracting process, and how to navigate through the contracting process
  • Work with business unit functions globally to ensure the terms and conditions of the Customer or Vendor contracts are understood by all relevant members of the team
  • Some travel will be required


Required Experience:

  • Due to ITAR restrictions, US citizenship or permanent residency is required to apply for this position
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, law, or other similar area of study 
  • Juris doctorate from an accredited law school is preferred but not a requirement of the post.
  • Three or more years of relevant work experience including proven experience creating moderately complex vendor and customer contracts
  • Experience in manufacturing, aerospace, and/or government contracts is highly preferred
  • Experience in Marine, Oil and Gas is desirable
  • Understanding of Federal Acquisition Regulations and Supplements desirable
  • Understanding of Cost Accounting Standards (CAS) desirable
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
