TE Connectivity – Shipping & Receiving Team Responsibilities

The Shipping & Receiving Teams at TE Connectivity handle both manual and clerical tasks related to shipping and receiving. They use computer systems to track, log, verify, and report all incoming and outgoing shipments. Team members follow specific shipping procedures, transportation routes, schedules, and requirements. Their responsibilities include receiving materials, preparing shipments, and processing freight bills, packing sheets, and other documentation. They also ensure that merchandise is routed correctly to its destination.

Key Duties:

  • Use SAP and a barcode scanner to perform packing functions. (50%)

  • Conduct special packaging and apply customer-specific labels as required. (20%)

  • Palletize orders according to customer specifications. (5%)

  • Verify label accuracy through a label verification process. (20%)

  • Identify hazardous or flammable materials and prepare them for shipment following safety procedures.

  • Prepare shipments by attaching documentation and staging cartons or pallets using a hand jack or forklift. (5%)

  • Manage recycling and disposal of wooden or damaged pallets.

  • Keep the workstation clean and follow general housekeeping practices.

  • Assist with other warehouse tasks, such as trash removal and cart distribution.

  • Follow all safety, security, and emergency procedures.

  • Offer performance improvement suggestions, individually or as part of a team.

  • Inspect products for damage and determine if a QA audit or repacking is needed.

  • Report discrepancies to the Shift Foreperson.

 

What your background should look like:

  • High School/G.E.D. education and 1 year of warehouse packing or operations.
  • Computer competency is a MUST.

COMPENSATION
•    Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $32,800 – $49,100 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
•    Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
•    Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
