Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Plating Teams operate assigned automated plating machinery, ensure component flow, troubleshoot and correct machinery issues to ensure quality and productivity. They perform changeovers and setups according to production schedule, perform quality checks according to established processes and document the results as required by our quality procedures. Every team member is responsible for maintaining housekeeping and organization of the work area as well as following TE Connectivity's EH&S policies and procedures.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Primary Responsibilities: This position will perform plating processes to electro-plate loose piece terminals with metals such as tin, tin/lead, copper, gold, nickel, zinc, silver to engineering specifications. This position will also perform routine quality checks, utilize x-ray machine to verify metal thickness follows plating specs and will work on preventative maintenance activities on the plating line as needed.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Basic understanding of chemical reactions
  • Basic math skills
  • Previous plating experience is preferred
  • Experience with SAP is preferred
  • Understanding of scales and x-ray equipment
  • Works safely and takes responsibility for the safety of others
  • Ability to work overtime or extended shifts as needed

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift/push/pull and carry a minimum weight of 50 lbs.
  • Frequently required to extend arms and hands between knees & shoulders; frequent holding and grasping with hands.
  • Frequent standing and walking is required in this job.
