Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Supplier Development Teams find and develop suppliers to support the strategic sourcing organization in driving incremental performance in supplier quality, delivery, price and service. They teach new suppliers on how to work with TE (portal access, e-procurement tool usage, TE procedures, etc.). They extend TE Operational Advantage into the supply base to generate continuous improvement in the extended value stream, deliver incremental improvements through supplier development lead projects and achieve improvement targets specific for supplier development. They also help drive selection and development of the best total cost supply option in the region where the commodity or service is consumed. They keep abreast of emerging market options and inform the broader procurement organization of trends and new supply options.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Position Responsibilities


  • Direct contact with supplier organization in order to develop customer/supplier relationship.
  • Encourage implementation of relevant quality system standards in supplier organizations.
  • Improve supplier quality and reliability.
  • Participation in Part/Process Audits on Supplier Site.
  • Review of customer and internal complaints related to suppliers product/process, verification of corrective, preventive actions and lessons learned.
  • Coordinates supplier production process release in liaison with TE departments.
  • Participate in continual improvement activities as suppliers.
  • Lead negotiation for annual quality performance goals.
  • Organize quarterly supplier’s performance and scorecard review.
  • Travelling relevant to business needs.



    Position Qualifications/Competencies


  • High school / University education.
  • Communicative, process focused, goal oriented team player.
  • Very good presentation, negotiating skills.
  • Ability to set up priorities, organize and plan with respect to business goals and sustainability.
  • English verbal + written is a must.
  • German is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of ISO TS 16949, VDA 6.3 standards.
  • Practical knowledge of quality related problem solving and analytical tools (8D, Ishikawa, 5 Why).
  • Flow chart, FMEA, Control plan methodology experience.
  • Experience with injection moulding and assembly process advantageous.
  • User skills of MS Office.
