Program Manager Engineer / Project Manager

Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Project Management Teams are responsible for leading a cross functional team to deliver major customer programs within budget and time limitations in accordance with technical specifications and profit objectives. They manage customer programs (customized engineered solutions for particular end customer platforms) from bid preparation through production. Their duties include: developing budgets and schedules to meet contractual/project requirements; assembling cross-functional program teams with members from engineering, procurement, sales, production, materials management and quality; serving as the main point of contact for the customer for all negotiations, decision making, scheduling issues, and problem solving throughout the program; monitoring and reporting performance against plans to ensure that contractual, cost and schedule objectives are met; and arranging modifications as required.

Responsible for managing and leading a cross-functional team in the launch, manufacturing, and delivery of customer-focused products for the renewable energy industry. Leading and supporting the project development, pricing, and manufacturing to deliver on time and cost to our customers.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible to introduce new products into production, complying with defined customer requirements
  • Coordinate with R&D, PM, and Sales teams to develop manufacturing plans for new and insourced products
  • Collect and analyze data and information to estimate costs associated with manufacturing the product. Works proactively towards cost target objectives in collaboration with R&D, PM, and Sales teams
  • Work with stakeholders to ensure estimates are accurate and to make appropriate adjustments and resolve issues
  • Responsible to analyze and provide proposals of Make or Buy decisions, between in-house manufacturing and outsource
  • Liaise with Sourcing and Manufacturing departments to provide continued feedback to ensure competitive pricing
  • Define & lead PdM Team on the creation of BOM and Routing structure for new projects
  • Lead and support the manufacturing team during the PPAP process and Quality documentation as PFMEA and Control Plans
  • Works with Supply Chain team to assure RM and components are available for production based on Customer request dates
  • Responsible to provide status to Customer Service, PM and/or Sales teams regarding project timing, mfg. cost, development, validation runs, deliveries, etc.
  • Support the implementation of TEOA methodology across the Site, and according to the set targets
  • Promotes and complies 100% with all EHS Programs
  • Participates actively in the Site Engagement Program



  • Professional with an Engineering degree, Business Administration, Marketing, or related field
  • + 5 years of relevant professional experience in the position
  • Demonstrated experience in NPI, Product costing and Business Cases 
  • Fluent in English, written and spoken
  • Excellent communication with strong negotiation and influencing skills
