Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Materials Planning Teams are responsible for the plans, schedules, and monitoring of the movement of material through the production cycle. They determine quantity and order date for materials to meet production or engineering schedules, initiate purchase or production requisitions compliant with supply agreements, and develop the schedule to be used in the production facility based on forecasts and historical analysis. The Team develops specifications for new contract orders as well as forecasts and plans for labor requirements. They provide timely and accurate input on supplier performance and may be asked to participate in higher level supplier performance reviews with the strategic sourcing team. They also monitor cost, schedule and scope of assigned subcontracts to assure best quality at best value.

The Appliances Materials team is currently looking for experienced Materials Planning Analyst to support the planning functions at our manufacturing facility located in Jonestown, PA. The analysts will report directly to the Supervisor, Supply Chain.
Job responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:
•    Schedule the various product lines under set scheduler codes
•    Perform demand/supply analysis for their assigned product line and identify constraints
•    Ensure all components and raw materials are available to meet the production schedule
•    Work SAP / MRP daily reports to ensure accurate plans and customer schedule dates
•    Monitor Excess reports to control overall inventory levels on product responsibilities
•    Ensure customer orders ship on time to meet delivery expectations and TEOA targets
•    Work daily with production to set work center and department priorities
•    Work with other Material Planners for cross function training as necessary to cover as back-up

What your background should look like:

•    Bachelor’s Degree (Supply Chain preferred) or equivalent relevant experience in Supply Chain/Production Planning
•    5+ years of experience in planning in a manufacturing environment
•    SAP and MRP experience preferred
•    Strong organizational and communication skills, time management and proven computer skills
•    Ability to deal with fast paced multiple demands and very dynamic situations
•    Spreadsheet and related PC skills essential
•    Ability to maintain integrated computer systems and related data accuracy
