Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Trade Compliance Teams interpret laws, rules, and regulations regarding shipping and prepare applications for import/export control certifications and licenses.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure work is carried out in accordance with the programs or based on instructions received and compliance with the scope set.
  • Identify problems and communicate timely to the Manager and provide several alternatives for the solution.
  • Manage, supervise and coordinate the eff orts of the departments of the company to carry out in timely the import/export of the goods until they are delivered at the destination point, according with the methods preset bythe company and in accordance with customs law.
  • Provide guidance and support to the team.
  • Responsible for the compliance of the non-tariff regulation: import license/permits, NOM´s, previous notices, among others.
  • Monitor the documentary archives of the foreign trade operations.
  • Monitor the complete capture of pediments on Import/Export System.
  • Perform self-audits on foreign trade compliance and on the established processes for the import/export operation. Support the manager in case an external audit is notified.
  • Ensure that the established cycle times are meet.
  • Escalate issues regarding to customs trade matter to Manager.
  • Monitor and evaluate the work of the sourcing and customs agent.
  • Elaborate metrics requested by the client and internal metrics.

What your background should look like:

  • International Business Degree, Foreign Affairs or related.
  • Minimum 5 years of work experience in customs operation and regulations
  • Excellent Knowledge: Customs Legislation, Tariff and non-tariff regulations, Annex 24, IMMEX program.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
