Job Overview

TE Connectivity’s internship program is designed to provide interns with real world experience to enhance classroom knowledge. Uniquely crafted assignments and meaningful projects provide interns with a challenging 10 – 12 week experience. Interns will gain exposure to senior leadership and be given professional development opportunities. At the end of the summer, interns will be provided the opportunity to pursue full-time placement within TE Connectivity.  

Responsibilities & Qualifications


  • Streamlining monthly Quality reports (creation, timing, automation, etc). Preparing and reporting out on quality metrics to plant and corporate staff
  • Assist with the creation and execution of SAP inspection plan to identify missing parts.
  • Supporting supplier concerns to drive root cause investigation using 8D and establish corrective and preventative actions are taken by responsible parties
  • Use data driven decisions for continuous improvement; Devise methods, processes, procedures to increase efficiency; Establish and/or implement departmental policies, procedures and standard work

•Ideal candidates are detail-oriented sophomores, juniors, seniors, and graduate students currently working toward a Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Engineering
•Previous experience in a manufacturing environment as Quality / Manufacturing Engineer is preferred
•Demonstrated success on problem solving (identifies root cause, drive improvement actions and resolve problems permanently)
•Preferred knowledge project plan implementation

Past experience with data analytics
•Familiarity with and use of Six Sigma tools & lean manufacturing techniques is considered an asset
•Excellent communication and presentation skills
•Proficiency with MS Office
•Must be a team player with a hands-on attitude, self-motivated, and ability to work with limited supervision
•Perform other related duties as assigned
