What you'll be doing...

 

As part of the Sensor Solutions team, you will be responsible for the analysis and development of software and hardware requirements related to data acquisition, information storage, data retrieval, automation, embedded systems & test and control systems. Using your technical expertise to also troubleshoot and resolve system related incidents and help drive the implementation and improvement of the the manufacturing process.

 

Additional responsibilities may include:

  • Planning and engineering production equipment systems and data acquisition methods
  • Utilizing data acquisition software programs and equipment for production and test environments
  • Executing full software development life cycle (SDLC)
  • Developing flowcharts, layouts and documentation to identify requirements and solutions
  • Writing well-designed, testable, and maintainable code
  • Producing specifications and determining operational feasibility
  • Integrating software components into a fully functional software system
  • Developing software verification plans and quality assurance procedures
  • Documenting and maintaining software functionality
  • Troubleshooting, debugging and upgrading existing systems
  • Writing operating procedures for operators to use test software and systems
  • Testing and troubleshooting various issues concerning test software and processes
  • Working with relational databases, MS Access and SQL technologies
  • Administering and maintaining relational databases
  • Interfacingtest software systems and equipment

Qualifications

 

What your background should look like...

 

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering or Electrical Engineering
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
  • Knowledge of programming languages and source control systems (C++, MATLAB, LabView)
  • Knowledge of SQL Server tools
  • SQL Development experience – writing and troubleshooting SQL Code and design (stored procs, functions, tables, views, triggers, indexes, constraints
  • Thorough understanding of data acquisition and control systems
  • Strong organizational, verbal and written communications skills
  • Team player, that is proactive and detail oriented 

Nice to have...

  • Knowledge of MRP (Material Resource Planning)
  • Knowledge of algebra, trigonometry, calculus and statistics
  • Demonstrated proficiency with PLC and HMI programming for automated industrial equipment
