Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Plating Teams operate assigned automated plating machinery, ensure component flow, troubleshoot and correct machinery issues to ensure quality and productivity. They perform changeovers and setups according to production schedule, perform quality checks according to established processes and document the results as required by our quality procedures. Every team member is responsible for maintaining housekeeping and organization of the work area as well as following TE Connectivity's EH&S policies and procedures.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Responsibilities are as follows:


  • Plating Process control analysis of the plating bath chemistry and related analytical equipment and procedures. Safe chemical handling required for chemical additions to baths, and new bath makeup.
  • Equipment expertise and maintenance of plating deionized water system, gas fired evaporator, and plant support equipment.
  • Monthly Gold accountability auditing and reporting.
  • Analysis of gold usage by Part Number.
  • Participate in gold and silver usage reduction Material Productivity Improvements.
  • SAP purchase ordering for plating chemicals, lab chemicals, manage inventory, set minimum order quantity, call vendors for pricing, follow up on purchase orders on late deliveries.
  • Hazardous waste shippers certification training will be required to support the plating process waste shipments and waste management.


  • Must be able to work and act in a professional manner with all levels of associates, and work closely with plating engineering, plating maintenance, and plating production.
  • High School Degree required.  AA Degree preferred 
  • Candidate should have at least 4 years of relevant or combined equivalent documented experience in a related field
  • Knowledge of MS Office tools such as Excel, Word, & Outlook.
  • Knowledge of SAP a plus.
  • Individual must be a proactive/reactive “Team Player” that can work in a fasted paced environment with multiple and changing priorities. Self directed work habits a plus.
  • Automotive Industry experience preferred but not required.
