TE Connectivity is seeking candidates to fill a Molding Operator II position at our Greensboro, NC facility. The Molding Operator II is responsible for installing standard molds into the molding press and performing machine set up to predetermined mold parameters. This role requires inspections of molded products and packaging of the molded products. The ideal candidate can work well in teams, has a desire to learn and possess the attention to detail needed to produce quality parts for our customers.


Essential Job Functions:

  • Obtain set up parameters for molds and inputs them into molding press
  • Operates the injection molding press including identification and notification of alarms
  • Make adjustments to molding conditions within specific parameters
  • Perform general inspection of molded product during using microscope, gages, and other measuring equipment as required by the quality inspection plan
  • Perform in-process adjustments to auxiliary equipment as required
  • Completes required paperwork to report production, scrap, downtime, problems, and issues related to the equipment and labor reporting
  • General housekeeping of work area
  • Supplied uniforms are required to be worn appropriately
  • Performs all other work related duties as assigned.



  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Basic communication skills
  • Ability to interpret production blueprints preferred
  • Basic computer skills
  • Must be able to move materials weighing up to 50 pounds (lifting)
  • Must be able to remain in stationary position 75% of the time (standing)
  • Must be able to operate machinery (use hands/fingers)
  • Must be able to move between work zones (walk)

Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Molding Teams operate assigned automated molding machinery, ensure component flow, troubleshoot and correct machinery issues to ensure quality and productivity. They perform changeovers and setups according to production schedule, perform quality checks according to established processes and document the results as required by our quality procedures. Every team member is responsible for maintaining housekeeping and organization of the work area as well as following TE Connectivity's EH&S policies and procedures.
