Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Maintenance Teams perform repairs and preventive maintenance to ensure longer lifespan of machines and facilities. Every team member is responsible for maintaining housekeeping and organization of the work area as well as following TE Connectivity's EH&S policies and procedures.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Diagnoses and repairs machine breakdowns and may rebuild machines as required.  Expert in electrical and pneumatic systems required to run plant machinery and facility.  Is familiar with hydraulic systems.  May perform preventive maintenance and be involved with engineering projects as needed.

 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Troubleshoots mechanical and/or electrical breakdowns of machinery. 
  • Replaces parts (ex. Motors, drives) as required.
  • Completes all work orders, preventive maintenance sheets, and repair logs to reflect work performed.
  • Follows all safety guidelines in working on machinery or in facilities (ex. Lock out/tag out)
  • General housekeeping of work area
  • Other maintenance and/or facilities projects as assigned

     

    EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE

  • High School Diploma or GED required plus 4+ years experience in manufacturing in hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical repair, motor controls in plant environment
  • AAS in Electronics, Electro-Mechanical or Industrial Technology preferred, plus 2+ years experience in electronics or mechanical field 
  • Familiarity with National Electrical Code.
  • Ability to read electrical schematics
  • Electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic blueprint reading skills required; experience reading  blueprints from non-U.S. manufacturers preferred
  • Experience using micrometers, gauges, rulers (metric and standard)
  • PLC Programming experience preferred
  • Math skills (electrical wiring work requires use of decimals, percentages)
  • Effective in both written and oral communication
  • Ability to prioritize work in order to successfully accomplish job duties
  • Familiar with the Microsoft Office Suite with an understanding of IP Addressing
