Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Assembly Teams operate assigned automated assembly machinery, ensure component flow, troubleshoot and correct machinery issues to ensure quality and productivity. They perform changeovers and setups according to production schedule, perform quality checks according to established processes and document the results as required by our quality procedures. Every team member is responsible for maintaining housekeeping and organization of the work area as well as following TE Connectivity's EH&S policies and procedures.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for performing upgrades, adapting line setup to meet production requirements, and Monitors operational quality product production.
- Will schedule and train necessary processes per procedures to ensure quality production to meet on time customer needs.
- Assesses product needs in accordance with customer specifications.
- Will ensure that all operations will meet our safety requirements.
- Measures, examines, and tests completed units to detect defects and ensure conformance to specifications.
- Responsible for all supporting documentation to ensure the continuous flow of production with minimal loss time.
- Will also be responsible for the following as it relates to assembly operations:
- Make necessary adjustments to various assembly machinery
- Complete capability studies at customer request
- Knowledge of computers, Microsoft word and Excel is required.
- Understanding of assembly flow and changing demands, troubleshooting and first run production change overs
- Have to be flexible on a day to day schedule and highly adaptable to continuously changing customer expectations

 Position Requirements: 
- High School Diploma or GED required
- At least 1 – 3 years’ experience in related field (inspection, assembler, etc.)
- Must have the ability to disassemble and re-assemble various types of mechanical parts and basic understanding of trouble shooting techniques. Should have understanding of blueprints/assembly drawings.
- Requires ability to organize assembly line based on written instructions as well as implement the use of visual aids
- Capability to interface with Quality/Engineering function with minimal supervision
- Must be organized and detail oriented in order to support prodruct change with minimal down time.
