Job Overview

TE Connectivity’s Quality and Reliability Engineering Teams analyze the ability of product and production systems to comply with customer and contractual requirements through established reliability factors. They design, recommend revisions and install quality control systems, develop and document analytical methods for establishing reliability of products and their components and conduct analysis on relative reliability with regards to cost, structure, weight, maintainability, facility of production, and availability of materials and equipment. Out teams develop, implement and monitor company environmental safety programs and policies to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental, health and safety regulations and recommend corrective actions if necessary. They are responsible for policies and practices to comply with applicable government regulations and industry requirements related to product environmental compliance, the implementation and management of technical and testing standards and specifications, quality control and reliability programs governing materials, product and processes, resulting in the optimization of material and labor, as well as failure analysis, root cause, corrective action and customer communication.

Responsibilities & Qualifications


  • Supporting the Quality Department in multiple quality engineering functions including but not limited to concern Management System (Customer, Supplier, Intern-plant), Specification Review System, and Continual Improvement Projects that utilize Lean concepts and Six Sigma principles.
  • Managing various concerns for customer’s trough TECHS (TE Customer Handling System) to drive root cause investigation using 8D and establish corrective and preventative actions are taken by responsible parties.
  • Conduct internal quality audits; Use data driven decisions for continuous improvement; Devise methods, processes, procedures to increase efficiency; Establish and/or implement departmental policies, procedures and standard work
  • Consolidate efforts for Americas activities through standardization of processes; enabled the sites to quickly identify weak or broken activities for continuous improvement.
  • Lead Cost of Poor Quality improvement events
  • Prepare and report out on quality metrics to plant and corporate staff; Direct the tracking of defects, test results or other quality control data; Direct plant inspection activities
  • Develop, implement, and manage first/last piece inspections, Quality Inspection, audits, Control Plans and safe launch processes and data
  • Must be able to work well with all functional areas and levels of the organization, i.e., product development, product management, operations, finance, & sales
  • Must be a team player with a hands-on attitude, self-motivated, and ability to work with little supervision
  • Managing the IA process in FV
  • Coordinating the Critical Processes Internal Audit
  • Managing the migration of the JZ-QMS transition to Energy QMS
  • Participate and support Customer and 3rd party audit (NUPIC, NIAC, GQS, LRQA)
  • Review control plans, establish process flow, conduct capability study, review the production data, attend the daily go meeting
  • Support in resolving customer, Interco and supplier issues
  • Participate in any upcoming NPI or PAC project


  • BS or Master degree in a technical field (Mechanic Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Integrated Manufacturing System Engineering)
  • Minimum of 1- 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment as Quality / Manufacturing Engineer
  • Demonstrated success on problem solving (identifies root cause, drive improvement actions and resolve problems permanently)
  • Solid knowledge of ISO9001 (understanding of NUPIC requirements desired). Lead auditor certification preferred
  • Extensive Knowledge on core manufacturing processes i.e. molding, extrusion is plus
  • Knowledge of electronics and plastics products desired
  • Familiarity with and use of Six Sigma tools & lean manufacturing techniques is considered an asset
  • Proficiency in using MS Office and Statistical softwares (i.e. Minitab, etc)
