Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Maintenance Teams perform repairs and preventive maintenance to ensure longer lifespan of machines and facilities. Every team member is responsible for maintaining housekeeping and organization of the work area as well as following TE Connectivity's EH&S policies and procedures.

Maintenance Mechanic II

This position is responsible for executing and optimizing the corrective and preventive maintenance of manufacturing equipment, as well as the assembly and start-up of new equipment.


• Inspect and determine the causes of equipment breakdowns.
• Repair faults and restore equipment to its validated operating condition.
• Perform preventive maintenance on all equipment assigned to your work area following current procedures and instructions.
• Document the interventions carried out on the teams following the documentation standards of the medical industry.
• Identify possible improvements in corrective and preventive maintenance procedures and communicate them to your supervisor.
• Identify spare parts necessary for the prevention or repair of breakdowns in the equipment in charge.
• Identify tools and equipment for the optimal execution of maintenance.
• Monitor the indicators of effectiveness and efficiency of maintenance such as availability, yield, cost, etc.
• Electromechanical assembly of new equipment
• Other duties as assigned.
• Availability of schedules according to the needs of the company.


• Train new maintenance technicians.

Education and Experience

• Technical academic degree in industrial electricity, electronics, electromechanics, maintenance, mechanics or related.
• 3 or more years of experience maintaining light industrial manufacturing equipment.
• Ability to perform equipment maintenance and construction as needed.
• Ability to troubleshoot machines in a timely manner to get production back up as quickly as possible.
• Good organization and follow-up skills.
• Ability to read manuals and technical sheets in English.
• Ability to communicate verbally and in writing in English at an intermediate level.
• Possibility of using a PC and the different management systems of the company, including MS Office.
• Must be punctual and reliable with good attendance.
• Must be able to lift between 75-100 lbs.
