Job Overview

TE Connectivity’s Quality and Reliability Engineering Teams analyze the ability of product and production systems to comply with customer and contractual requirements through established reliability factors. They design, recommend revisions and install quality control systems, develop and document analytical methods for establishing reliability of products and their components and conduct analysis on relative reliability with regards to cost, structure, weight, maintainability, facility of production, and availability of materials and equipment. Out teams develop, implement and monitor company environmental safety programs and policies to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental, health and safety regulations and recommend corrective actions if necessary. They are responsible for policies and practices to comply with applicable government regulations and industry requirements related to product environmental compliance, the implementation and management of technical and testing standards and specifications, quality control and reliability programs governing materials, product and processes, resulting in the optimization of material and labor, as well as failure analysis, root cause, corrective action and customer communication.

Responsibilities & Qualifications


  • Lead quality investigations, facilitating internal and external meetings as required.
  • Provide direct on-site customer support as needed
  • Provide customer application detail to Product Quality Engineers for quality complaint investigation.
  • Provide customer specific feedback including training TE on customer requirements as needed.
  • Support customer quality audits as needed and ensure corrective actions are completed
  • Identify and manage customer requests for information including daily updates and documentation such as PPAPs and special reports.
  • Interface with process engineering, manufacturing quality engineers, suppliers and customers on new product/process launches and issue resolution
  • Manage sorting activities as needed to satisfy customer operational requirements.
  • Oversee return material requests from request through receipt.
  • Supply and review quality specifications and documents to support sales.
  • Plan and drive ECE quality improvement with the customer.
  • Successfully multi-task and prioritize to achieve customer requirements and deadlines.
  • Occasional domestic and international travel will be required.



  • Bachelor's degree in related engineering discipline and 5+ years in manufacturing quality or equivalent or combination of education and experience.
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate others to achieve a desired result.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills, with proficiency in English.
  • Confidence and ability to effectively communicate with high profile customers.
  • Understanding of the 8D Methodology.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify root cause, drive improvement actions and resolve problems.
  • Experience in product test development and laboratory analysis to support root cause analysis and conclusions.
  • Experience with ISO 9001 or TS-16949 (PPAP, APQP, FMEA, Control Plans)
  • Knowledge of SPC, DOE, GD&T
  • Understanding of the Quality System Methodology
  • Good computer skills
  • Formal Six-sigma training and experience, a background in statistics, and proficiency in Mini-Tab desired.
  • Experience in connector manufacturing competencies such as Stamping, Plating, Molding or Assembly desired.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and globally, and ability to participate in teleconference meetings early morning or late evening to accommodate other time zones.
