Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Distribution & Logistics Teams manage the efficient flow of goods, services and information between point of origin through customer placement in order to meet customer requirements or internal business objectives. They create integrated processes among internal functions such as operations, purchasing and logistics, and outside suppliers. They also focus resources on continuous improvement of the movement of materials through various production processes, and establish key performance metrics and benchmarks relating to supply chain planning/forecasting to measure actual performance against goals on a regular basis.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Key tasks and skills of the job:

  • Checking driver delivery documents, indicating if packaging is received damaged, working together with Quality Department in identifying possible damages to goods
  • Checking delivery notes against goods received on both inventory and non-inventory items
  • Following standard operation procedures in all GR processes on the relevant systems to ensure system integrity.
  • Material movement from Goods Inwards to Warehouse, movement of non-inventory items to the relevant departments/receivers.
  • As part of the team, maintain receipt to stock metric of less than 24 Hrs.
  • Use of powered pallet trucks, pallet trucks, trolleys and sack barrows for material movement.
  • Respond in a timely manner to information requested from other departments.
  • Study and work on continuous improvements on the goods receiving processes, run random checks and update the bespoke files
  • Incident reporting in line with company EH&S guidelines.
  • Maintain safe working practices supporting the companies 5S +1 initiative.
  • Involvement with annual stock taking.

Qualifications & specialist training required:

  • Manual Handling.

Experience required:

  • Good IT and admin skills (company’s ERP systems and MS Excel, Word)
  • Communication skills via e-mail and phone within the site and verbal communication with delivery drivers.
  • Question when exceptions occur.
  • Outdoor working will be required (wet weather gear provided).
  • PPE worn at all times.
  • Fork lift and counterbalance license could be an advantage
  • Experience in working within a warehouse environment (preferred)
