Short Description


The Senior Manager, Executive Compensation is a subject matter expert for all executive compensation programs and related matters at TE Connectivity, including participating in the design of short and long term executive compensation programs. Serves as the primary resource to ensure executive compensation deliverables and work products are completed with highest degree of quality, on time and within budget.

Long Description


  • Manage the day to day administration of executive compensation programs ensuring adherence to all deadlines and timely response to all inquiries. Ensure effective compensation administration processes are in place, with 100% accuracy.
  • Act as an internal consultant, and advise the business on global executive compensation matters, including developing compensation offers for senior executives. Manage communications to executives on their compensation packages, including preparing communication content, and meeting with executives to faciliate understanding of their packages.
  • Support the management and implementation of global executive compensation programs including long term incentives, equity programs (including restricted stock units, performance stock units and stock options), perquisites and annual incentive programs for a global, complex corporation. 
  • Understand and apply tax regulations, labor and Securities and Exchange Commission laws, Sarbanes Oxley, Swiss Ordinance Rules, financial reporting requirements and internal governance issues to ensure the design and administration of compensation programs are in compliance.  Understand the implications of these regulations to executive compensation planning.
  • Manage the process of preparing material for the Board’s Management Development and Compensation Committee meetings, as well as project managing annual cycle of executive compensation activities and deliverables.
  • Manage the process of preparing the annual proxy CD&A and Swiss Compensation Report disclosure narratives and tables.   Research and understand disclosure best practices and how they may apply in TE’s business context.  
  • Benchmark executive compensation plans with best of class organizations and competitors to ensure TE Connectivity is able to attract and retain exceptional leadership talent.   Conduct proxy analyses of other large, publicly held corporations to research best practices.
  • Work closely with the Legal, Finance, and Tax organizations as well as outside compensation consultant engaged by the MDCC in the design of compensation plans, ensuring downstream implications including accounting treatment and legal/tax compliance have been fully vetted.  Work closely with outside consultants and Legal counsel in the development of communications.
  • Analyze executive compensation programs for merger and acquisition targets and develop summaries of implications, recommendations, etc.
  • Responsible for the administration of TE’s Board of Director fees and annual grants.
  • Manage executive compensation analyst, and provide guidance to Equity Manager.
  • This position works closely with leaders in global HR, Legal, and Finance on a regular basis to ensure alignment on SEC and Swiss disclosure requirements, technial accounting, and tax compliance.

Responsibilities & Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s Degree; a Master’s Degree or MBA preferred
  • At least five years progressive, hands on, global executive compensation and/ or global equity compensation experience.  Must also have broad based compensation experience or other directly applicable financial or analytical experience. 
  • Proven ability to work at the highest levels within an organization
  • Exceptional communications and influencing skills, in both face to face presentations as well as written communications
  • Excellent analytical skills and the ability to present complex data in an easy to understand format
  • Excellent business acumen as well as the ability to conduct complex financial analyses
  • Ability to think big, prioritize and execute flawlessly, ability to listen, learn and creatively build solutions
  • Mergers/acquisition experience is a strong plus
