Job Overview

In our location in Bergen (Norway) we are now looking for an experienced Test Engineer (m/f) to join our fun and diverse teamOur office in Bergen is part of our Sensors Business Unit, and in Bergen specifically, we are working on cutting edge sensor technology for the commecerial transportation segment.


Main Targets:

  • Develop and execute tests for embedded applications, both at unit and system level. Based on achieved test results, evaluate and communicate findings back to the development team, as well as to the project management.
  • Key role in developing and maintaining our test-lab capabilities utilizing CAN Bus communication as well as internally made SW and HW tools.
  • Support customer claims investigations, 2nd line.


Responsibilities & Qualifications

Tasks Summary & Responsibilities

  • Interact with SW team to develop tests for embedded applications for different TE DEF QLSfamilies based on both internal and customer specific requirements.
  • Drive test planning, including preparing test setup (also mechanical parts if needed) and writing up test requirements/specifications and procedures. Finally, test execution and documenting test results will be undertaken.
  • Plan and execute various tests related to ultrasound and environmental measurements on the DEF concentration module.
  • Provide feedback to the development team related to findings and possible deficiencies in the system.
  • Investigate possible problems revealed during testing activities in cooperation with the engineering team.
  • Develop internal testlab facilities to support automated testing and reporting of current R&D driven tests related to utilizing internal developed SWtools and CAN bus communication.
  • Present test reports and findings to the appropriate target audience – depending on actual tests being executed.



  • Educational Degree: BSc in Electronics/Automation/Information/Mechatronic Technology
  • Professional Experience: 5 years minimum
  • Experience with Unit and system test development / execution including test documentation related to product development utilizing microcontrollers and embedded SW.
  • Background as System Test Engineer and System Integrator is preferable
  • Utilize competence in programming when developing and implementing tests at various levels
  • Read and understand electronics schematics/mechanical drawings as part of test execution and troubleshooting
  • Background from industrial measurement/instrumentation systems based on ultrasound is preferable
  • Ability to quickly evaluate possible testing approaches and prepare test set-up to verify defined technical requirements/specifications
  • Fast in execution and organized when it comes to maintaining test records and documenting results
