Job Overview

TE Connectivity’s Field Application Engineering Teams work intimately with customers to recommend products and solutions for new and existing applications. They identify new applications, requirement modifications and enhancements to meet customer specifications and conduct on-site installation and service of product and are responsible for all technical aspects of the sales cycle for potential application of company products to meet customer needs, including identifying opportunities; determining solutions; creating demand; preparing detailed product specifications and technical marketing support; ensuring high quality and timely project execution and conducting follow-up technical support. They also approve operational quality of systems and equipment.

Tasks Summary & Responsibilities

 

  • Evaluating design optimizations (organize it) for existing products, called CRP (cost reduction proposals) at our customer
  • Supporting our customers SICR (supplier initiated change request) together with our quality responsible.
  • Supporting our customer SORM (supplier offer review meetings) process
  • The Field Application engineer should look for cost savings in our customer’s portfolio.
  • Should be able to have insight information and possibly replace competition.
  • Support to goal setting and work target-oriented
  • Working close together with the Account Managers
  • Continuously caring for a good trusting relationship between the customer and TE, by staying in permanent direct contact (visits, email, phone) with the customer to ensure ongoing support and communication
  • Conscientious follow up on open issues and opportunities/projects
  • Detect new opportunities and drive the project through development engineering organization
  • Select and introduce (new) products and services, considering the customers’ needs
  • Promote TE Connectivity, the technologies and product portfolio at the customer

 

Professionel Experience

 

  • bachelor's degree in electrical / electromechanical engineering or a degree of comparable technical background
  • minimum 2 year's professional level Sales experience preferred
  • Needes a professional level of business acumen and good commercial understanding
  • Needs a good understanding of technical complexes
  • Optimally have a deep and broad knowledge of the ICT market
  • Strong interpersonal and influencing skills and the ability to build strong, credible relationships with multiple organization (inside and outside TE)
  • Ability to work towards targets
  • Ability to identify and pursue new business opportunities
  • Car driving license
  • English and German language skills
  • Travelling requested up to 75%
