The Aerospace, Defense and Marine (AD&M) business unit of TE is part of the Industrial Solutions segment -- a world leader in the design of components and electrical interconnection solutions that are used for applications in extreme and harsh environments. Job Overview

The Human Resources Business Partner for the Marine, Oil & Gas (MOG) subvertical Business Unit (SBU) is part of the SBU Leadership team. The MOG HRBP sets the SBU HR strategy in line with business priorities and drives the people operating plan. (S)He implements policies at the business level partnering with management to drive companywide programs and initiatives (i.e. succession, talent acquisition, total rewards and change management). In alignment with Business priorities and the company’s HR objectives, policies, and practices, this position will be responsible for providing a focused set of human resources activities in the areas of leadership, organization development, employee relations, employee engagement, talent management and communications.



  • Develops and executes the SBU strategy aligned with business strategy, priorities and needs
  • Develops and drives organizational effectiveness, cultural transformation and owns the people operating plan for the SBU.
  • Provide HR leadership to meet Business goals and objectives, in partnership with the SBU leadership team, the COEs and the HR Solutions team. 
  • Analyze trends and metrics as they apply to client groups, develop proactive actions to further support business objectives and people strategy. 
  • Lead organization design, workforce planning, organization development and organizational effectiveness within the business, including Mergers & Acquisition and divestures. 
  • Drive organizational culture towards TE values and CEO’s vision, unleash people’s potential through development & inclusion. 
  • Support HR due diligence during M&A activities to ensure proper target evaluation and develop a consistent integration roadmap.


  • Partner with the SBU Leadership Team to provide advice, creative problem solving and counsel on HR related business matters. 
  • Manage and ensure the cadence for HR life cycle and talent management programs for the SBU.
  • Participate in due diligence during the pre-acquisition phase and develop and execute integration plan.
  • Lead change management for the SBU and facilitate organizational change by supporting managers to develop plans to drive organizational efficiency in line with business strategy. 
  • Collaborate on projects on an ad-hoc basis with HR COEs and provide business input to COEs on policies/tools required. 
  • Drive and advocate for a “One-HR Operating Model” and ensure seamless execution and delivery to the business. 
  • Drive HR operational excellence through TEOA.


  • Leverage Organizational Leadership Review (OLR) and strategic succession planning to support the business.
  •  Drive key talent development plans to strengthen the talent pipeline for all critical positions including stretch assignments, coaching or mentoring programs, professional & leadership training to retain and develop talent.
  • Drive employee engagement through effective communication, programs, and alignment to development and growth opportunities.
  • Be the voice of employee in balancing the business needs with needs of employees so the business runs as effectively as possible.
  • Act as a coach, make critical conversations happen and be a facilitator when needed.
  • Develop own the HR team and ensure that they are be best-in-class


Education required:

  • Degree in business or other field required
  • Graduate degree (preferably HR) would be an advantage


Number of years of experience required:

  • Minimum 10+ years of professional working experience in HR environment required
  • Minimum 8+ years HR Generalist/HR BP related experience required; breadth of HR knowledge and skills in variety of fields in international context
  • Experience with Organization Design, Change Leadership, Talent management and Organizational Development
  • Experience working with global teams


Mobility / Travel:

  • Travelling will be subject to the geographical coverage of the areas in support.
  • Frequent traveling is required
