Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Payroll Teams are responsible for the development of payroll policies and procedures. They administer the preparation of documentation and disbursement of paychecks, taxes, and benefit payments.



Responsibilities & Qualifications

Under the direction of the Director-Fleet Operations, this position requires a professional, dedicated, and industrious individual committed to process improvement and transactional accuracy.  The successful candidate will be responsible for understanding all aspects of the marine payroll process and coordinating affective implementations of process change.  As part of this responsibility a successful individual will coordinate with various other business functions and preform training, audits, and implement policy/process. 

Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with statutory reporting and filing requirements with government and marine unions entities
  • Oversee internal and external audits as well as conduct audits of the vessels
  • Ensure payroll is processed in an accurate, compliant, and timely manner following company policies and processes
  • Oversee preparation of payroll related reports and data entry
  • Conduct training
  • Help in defining software requirements

Experience and Skills

  • Adonis experience a plus
  • ShipNet experinece a plus
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and practices
  • Knowledge of payroll calculation and processing
  • Knowledge of applicable federal rules and laws
  • Knowledge of applicable union collective bargaining agreements
  • Solid financial acumen
  • Knowledge of process mapping and business process flow
