Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Project Management Teams are responsible for managing the operational aspects of projects from inception through implementation. They coordinate cross-functional teams and serve as liaison between project management and planning, project teams and line management. Our Teams review status of projects and budgets, manage schedules and prepare status reports. They assess project issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives. They also develop mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients.


Responsibilities & Qualifications

Under the direction of the Director-Fleet Operations, this position requires a professional, dedicated, and industrious individual committed to process improvement and transactional accuracy.  The successful candidate will be responsible for understanding and managing all aspects of the AMOS process. This includes but is not limited to day to day AMOS system management, Systems Audits, AMOS training (office and shipboard), Inventory management, purchasing process and direct Fleet management support.  More specifically:

Manage Maintenance Issues:

  • Ongoing improvement of existing PMS.
  • Incorporating frequent “Unexpected” work into the Maintenance database.
  • Ongoing monitoring of the overdue work items and advise PE/ROV/Plow manager.
  • Design and implement a workflow process for maintenance.
  • Work with Submersibles Managers and Port Engineers to correct/establish existing jobs.
  • Help establish triggers as used by Departments.
  • Maintenance and History reporting improvements.
  • Track and implement suggestions and improvements from the fleet (‘Unexpected Work’ checked by default, Sub Work orders, history tracking, Component hierarchy breakdown.
  • Provide specialized reports to track key performance measures.
  • Provide integration and set up support for new departments.

Manage Inventory Issues:

  • Adding new, improving descriptions, correcting, consolidating duplicate Stock Types and Stock Items.
  • Driving standardization across the Fleet.

Manage Purchasing Issues:

Tracking known issues and solving them with system provider, vessels and department heads

Experience and Skills

  • ShipNet experience is a plus
  • Shipboard preventative maintenance experience
  • Knowledge of maritime regulatory compliance
  • Understanding component level equipment and repair
  • Knowledge of process mapping and business process flow
  • Managing a training program
  • Advanced computer skills to manage and report on the collation of information.
