Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Manufacturing and Process Development Engineering Teams significantly impact LEANPD driven new product development projects, driving for excellence in existing manufacturing technologies and methods and striving to implement new manufacturing technologies to provide improved process and tolerance control. They act as the binding element between product development and manufacturing engineering, ensuring the effectiveness and efficiency of this critical interface. They support Product Development in the optimization of designs and piece parts for manufacturability by realizing sample tooling/products/prototypes. They also design, develop, and qualify tooling and processes to meet TE quality and production standards, document all processes and tooling in applicable TE systems, support supply chain to verify supplier compliance and capability, initiate and implement programs to continuously improve quality, cost and cycle time and adhere to all appropriate specifications, regulatory requirements and customer requirements.

• To contribute to Health Safety & Environmental management programs.
• Support new product launches since prototype build, feasibility, R@R until SOP
• Optimize the process of industrialization. Development processes and documentations such as Process Flow Chart, FMEA, CP and all related paper works
• Create safety workplace, prioritizes and reviews work orders to schedule daily work and conducts the continuous improvement activity in responsibility area
• Provide methods of operation, material handling, equipment layout and work space, or other changes to increase production or improve standards.
• Study time, motion, methods that involved all operations process, establish the recovery plan and solution then execute and follow up
• Interpret engineering drawings, schematic diagrams, or formulas and confer with management or engineering staff to determine quality and reliability standards.
• Recommend modifications to existing quality or production standards to achieve optimum quality within limits of equipment capability
• Apply statistical methods and perform mathematical calculations to determine manufacturing processes, staff requirements, and production standards such as MSA, SPC, PFMEA and so on
• Coordinate quality control objectives and activities to resolve production problems, maximize product reliability through productivity, minimize quality issues and cost
• Confer with vendors, staff, and management personnel regarding purchases, procedures, product specifications, manufacturing capabilities, and project status
• Study product requirements and design manufacturing and information systems to meet requirements
• Communicate and escalate through the business case widely internal, external and regional
• Provide all supports upon business requires

• Mechanical/ Industrial Engineering Degree with minimum 3 years of experience as a Process/Industrialization Engineer or similar within Automotive Sector. 
• Preferably experience from production lines with manual assembly processes. 
• Relevant experience can compensate for lack of formal education
• PPAP knowledge is mandatory with experience in developing and/or participating in Flow Charts, PFMEA and Control Plans
• Hands-on approach to develop and test production jigs and assembly processes
• Used to work within production environment, directly in contact with the shop floor where the assembly processes are located
• Able to develop both simple and complex production equipment in collaboration with internal and external suppliers
• Prominent IT skills (MS Office)
• Good communication in English / Thai.
