Job Overview

The Plant Manager at TE Connectivity is responsible for driving cross-functional alignment within supply chain, production, EHS, quality, engineering, and HR. In this role, you'll leverage your experience in aerospace/defense manufacturing to drive the site forward and maintain its competitiveness in the aerospace electronics industry.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure all migration activities supporting production line transfers and facility stand up according to plan and within budget
  • Manage plant operations, production planning, maintenance and controlling
  • Develop strategic plan to advance the company’s mission and objectives and to promote revenue, profitability and growth as an organization
  • Annual budget planning and reporting with each individual department
  • Continuous improvement of production efficiency, lean process management and profit margins
  • Coordinate plant activities through with departmental supervisors to ensure that total manufacturing objectives are accomplished in the timely and cost-effective manner
  • Ensure adequate provision of personnel, equipment and materials within  budget to achieve plant goals
  • Manage the proper use and maintenance of buildings, premises, machines and tools, including preventive maintenance and repair plans in accordance with production obligations
  • Develop and maintain programs and policies to ensure a highly effective and motivated workforce
  • Evaluation of training needs and establishing of training plans
  • Fosters a “Safety the First” culture, establish expectations for a safe and clean environment. Ensure company safety regulations are observed
  • Resource planning including organizational structure, hiring, outages, work discipline, redeployment or promotion of employees
  • Observe company, local, regional and national environmental regulations in all company operations
  • Promote and use the quality policy to satisfy customers and continuously improve product and services
  • Develop strategic plans for inventory levels (Plan for Every Part) to support business objectives
  • Establish lean replenishment programs with key suppliers to reduce lead time and increase customer delivery
  • Partner with Sourcing to identify and drive cost reduction on raw materials to meet annual goals
  • Responsible for overall plant production scheduling via master scheduling; including at the manufacturing cell
  • Drive supplier improvement plans with aligment with Supplier Quality and Supplier Development
  • Responsible for driving site sales, inventory, and operations (SIOP) planning process
  • Establish key development and training requiremtns to meet future state of site (CPIM, CPM, Gren Belt, Black Belt, etc)
  • Oversight and management of the warehouse and stockroom processes and personnel
Qualifications
  • Minimum 7-10 years’ experience working with a manufacturing organization with proven success in simplifying processes and increasing production.
  • Factory transformation and project management leadership experience.
  • Minimum 5 years’ of management experience required in a  large international company
  • Strong experience in strategic planning and execution
