Job Overview

The Global Systems Operations Finance Lead is responsible for the financial performance of the Systems Supply Chain within the Industrial business unit.  This position reports to the Director of Finance for the Systems Sub-Vertical and is closely partnered with the Director of Operations.  The position must maintain collaborative relationships with all functions within the Sub-Vertical / BU and with other Sub-Vertical / BU Operations and Finance Teams.  Key focus is on driving both long and short-term financial performance improvement across the entire supply chain, involving Manufacturing Sites, Procurement and Logistics. Activities will center on coordinating financial analysis, developing business decision support, financial/strategic modeling, forecasting and reporting.


The position will be located in Den Bosch. 

Responsibilities & Qualifications

Specific Responsibility:

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives, establish targets and manage financial performance across all core financial metrics for TE Industrial Systems Operations: e.g. CapEx and Inventories optimization; filling conversion and material savings pipelines etc. while advising the leadership team on risks, compliance and opportunities (such as migration and investment activities)
  • Identify cost drivers, translate financial insights of whole Operations into recommendations and drive execution of agreed actions through completion that impacts business results
  • Preparation of concise summary of relevant information to facilitate decision making
  • Owns budget/forecasts/reviews in co-operation with all other business/functional areas
  • Execute Financial Integration of recent acquisitions Intercontec and Entrelec
  • Interface with Systems Operations Leadership team (e.g. Production, Quality, TEOA etc.) to understand and proactively drive business financial performance
  • Support the execution of the Footprint optimization in the System Sub-Vertical
  • Support Operations in developing and implementing an effective strategy by providing robust fact base business judgment and other non-finance aspects
  • Lead the Operations budgeting process, monthly reporting and review cycle and support TE Industrial Systems monthly, quarterly and annual closing and reporting activities
  • Develop and improve financial processes and leveraging the tools already existing
  • Key contributor toward operational performance and long-term strategy development
  • Identify cost drivers and work with supply chain team on improvement actions
  • Understand the business and coach operations associates relative to required actions
  • Drive the financial aspects of projects including migration and investment activities
  • Support training and development of finance talent across TE Industrial Systems. Help build a pipeline of future TE Connectivity finance leaders through talent development and best-in-class performance.

Key Goals and Objectives

  •     Strategy – Establish Finance as a business partner across TE Industrial Systems Operations. Drive cost accountability and establish a strategic capital structure to help drive cost optimization. Set up precedents.
  •     Execution – Ensure Factory output, Operating Income (OI) and MCFC (Modified Free Cash Flow)
  •     Talent – Develop succession depth for the TE Industrial Systems Operations finance roles. Provide mentoring for key finance and non-finance talents

Candidate Profile


  • A forward-thinking, energetic finance leader who demonstrates diversity in their experiences and is a strategic business partner.  
  • The ideal candidate will possess strong capabilities in operations finance, financial & strategic planning, restructuring footprint and analysis.
  • Strong leadership ability with a track record of building finance organizational capabilities.
  • Must have: Former experience as Plant Controller in Manufacturing environment and also multi-site consolidation of controlling. 
  • This role will serve as an important business partner with the Director of Operations.  
  • This individual must be able to build, manage, and develop a diverse, global finance team.
