Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Supply Chain Managers are responsible for the timely, cost-effective procurement, inventory control, planning and quality control of production materials. They ensure the availability of materials in the supply chain, as scheduled, and the maintenance of inventory at the established levels. They coordinate and integrate the flow of materials and information among suppliers, manufacturers, distributors and customers, identifying opportunities for improving efficiency, effectiveness and capabilities of the supply chain. Resources are focused on continuous improvement of the movement of materials through production processes, and the establishment of key performance metrics and benchmarks to monitor actual performance against goals.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

ROLE STATEMENT: The Regional Sr. Manager of Supply Chain will lead and define the Americas supply chain strategy and objectives. Support business growth defining and promoting strategies to reach and exceed the business target.  Re-build Americas planning and core supply chain functionality.  Develop supply chain competency as well as partnership to region commercial & cross functional teams.


Delivery Performance Improvement

  • Clear define delivery and lead-time strategy; develops strategic and tactical projects to address issues and enhance current fulfilment methods
  • Develop and implement initiatives to enhance product fulfilment satisfaction for Energy customers.

Inventory Management

  • Deploy inventory and replenishment strategies to support delivery and Inventory Turns targets.
  • Activities include extensive data analysis and interpretation to identify improvement opportunities within the organization.
  • Coordinates with individual plants to develop projects and strategies

Freight Cost Management

  • Drive continuous reductions in Business Unit freight cost as a % of sales.
  • Utilizes detailed modelling tools to analyze transportation mode and location options to determine optimal scenarios.
  • Drive different initiates for logistics optimization, transportation cost, freight payment terms

Supply Review Management

  • Maintain and enhance the supply review process within the business unit which supports alignment of customer demand and production capacity.
  • Drive supply process to support short / long term capacity requirements for labor and equipment.

Other Responsibilities

  • Build world class supply chain, drive SC process and methodology improvement to reach TEOA star level target
  • Drive consistency and efficiency, improving ECE and efficiency in process such as STR, STS, ACCLT, pre-stock orders, PO’s, Overdues, cadence and kaizen events.
  • Support global S&OP Lite, manage capacity for local and global critical product line
  • Design and Implement consistent processes and procedures across the Region
  • Lead new ERP system implementation.

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering or Supply Chain
  • 10+ years’ experience in manufacturing, with proven track record of success in setting up supply chain organizations and processes, plant operations management, footprint rationalization, supply chain management
  • Knowledge of all areas of Supply Chain including Procurement, Logistics, PBL vendor management and ‘Manufacturing with Engineering’
  • Proven leader with outstanding strategic thinking skill who can deliver results in a competitive, complex, fast-paced and changing business environment with clear leadership
  • Strategic thinking, analytical skills, building business cases and convincing key stakeholders is critical for success in this role.
