Job Overview

 

The Industrial and Commercial Transportation BU (ICT) is launching a Business Transformation Office (BTO).  The BTO will be the engine that enables true organizational transformation which will allow ICT to be more agile in today’s market.   The ICT Integration Project Management Team (IPM) will report into the BTO and manage cross functional M&A integration projects. The IPM will work with all functional aspects within ICT to integrate newly acquired assets into the TE business model.  The IPM is responsible for defining and creating project schedules, portfolio management, communication, and execution of the integration programs, identifying resource constraints and working with management for resolution.

The Sr. Manager position will lead the IPM and is responsible for steering all integration projects including footprint consolidation project management, lead change management processes across the plants, Product Brand Labelling (PBL); leveraging core manufacturing, supply chain capabilities for consolidation within TE from the acquisition and foster alignment based on customer requests and business strategy.

This role will interact with BU and Corporate M&A stakeholders and the successful candidates will be able to effectively communicate & motivate local & global teams, influence global stake holders and seamlessly integrate new businesses into the TE ecosystem with minimal customer disruption.  

 
Responsibility:

 

  • Develop the integration strategy, set integration guiding principles and act as a champion of the vision of the integration and program management structure to create the drive needed to capture the value of the transaction
  • Overall responsibility for the successful M&A integration projects execution / change management process to meet the project charter in alignment with ICT business growth strategy
  • Leadership:
    • Be a role model for TE integration project team members as appropriate, and represent to our stakeholders/customers a person with the highest integrity, a positive attitude, technical competence, a strong work ethic, and a high level of project management professionalism
  • Communication: 
    • Develop project communication plan for internal and external communication, lead weekly project reviews, biweekly reviews with ICT Sr. Leadership leadership & monthly review with steering committee as needed, report project progress, manage & influence stakeholders expectations
  • Planning:
    • Lead & develop effective project plans with milestones including the core areas of project integration, timing, costs, risk managements, communications, human resource, procurement planning and scope, IT, eCommerce, Pricing, Customer Service, Sales, Finance, and Product Management   
    • Develops, manages and coaches the workstreams, provides guidance, support and subject matter expertise to the sending & receiving teams 
    • Build and manage the integration budget and identify, track and capture synergies
  • Technical leadership & problem solving: 
    • Create and maintain a technical team environment where decision points are quickly identified, reviewed, analyzed and decisions made with proper documentation while building teamwork & commitment to the project maintaining the project schedule

What your background should look like:

  • Risk management: 
    • Effectively create, monitor and control risk management plans with associated workstreams 
    • Authority to establish & control the necessary processes to satisfy the environmental management system requirements.
  • Training: 
    • Develop and lead integration training of identified cross functional team leaders as part of the overall TE ICT Integration Team
    • Coordinate any training needed for acquired company employees to fully integrate into TE system
    • Coordinate ICT BU sales training with PM team related to new company products
  • Product Marketing assets: 
    • Review, revise (as needed) and convert all acquired product related assets into TE brand template
    • Properly ensure assets are placed on TE ecommerce sites    
    • Review SG&A functions within acquired company and works with HR to ensure proper alignment with TE culture and recommending new organization structure to fit within TE framework

 

Desired Candidate Profile:

 

Educational degree: BS Engineering or Business, PMP certification preferred.  MBA preferred.
Professional Experience (years in what processes and function):  5-7+ yrs. Demonstrated project management experience capacity, Global or multi-national experience managing teams in multiple regions functionally.  Experience in leading M&A integration teams.  
Special qualifications, knowledge & skills: Core manufacturing, Supply Chain, Operations, Finance, Sales, Product Management, IT, Marketing / eCommerce, Pricing, Engineering, Customer Service  
Other important things to note: Tech /Market Savvy, superior analytical and problem solving skills –Microsoft Project preferred

Travel: up to 25-50% required

COMPENSATION
•    Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $150,000 – 220,000 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
•    Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
•    Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
