Job Overview

 

TE Connectivity’s Engineering Project Management Teams manage cross functional engineering projects. They work with Product Management, Sales, Quality, Manufacturing, Finance, and other functions across TE to assure projects meet financial, schedule and customer expectations. They are responsible for defining and creating project schedules, portfolio management, communication and execution of programs, identifying resource constraints and working with management for resolution, while adhering to LeanPD processes.

Tasks and Responsibilities

 

  • Lead cross-functional teams to successfully execute projects in alignment with charters and client needs.
  • Demonstrate exemplary leadership, fostering high performance, integrity, and professionalism.
  • Develop and implement effective communication plans, ensuring stakeholder alignment and satisfaction.
  • Manage customer relationships and integrated change control processes.
  • Drive supplier development initiatives to meet TE and customer standards.
  • Implement LEANPD processes for efficient new product development.
  • Control project costs while meeting performance metrics.
  • Lead comprehensive project planning and risk management efforts.
  • Foster technical leadership, problem-solving, and team collaboration.
  • Conduct economic analyses to support project decision-making.
  • Efficiently manage project resources and support sales efforts as needed.

What your background should look like:

 

  • B.S. in Engineering or other technical discipline or equivalent work experience.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Must be able to effectively work with people of diverse cultural backgrounds.
  • Strong aptitude for problem solving.
  • 5+ years of experience in new product development management.
  • Able to work effectively under pressure.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus.
  • Graduate degree in engineering or business a plus.
